RS Biotech Laboratory Equipment Ltd. have been concentrating exclusively on the manufacture and design of Galaxy CO 2 Incubators since 1991. From our base in Scotland, we currently export to over 25 countries worldwide and will continue expanding with carefully chosen partners. Our dedicated team plans, designs and manufactures incubators using in-house engineering skills. All our products are precision engineered on CNC machinery to give a high quality finish. Each incubator is reliable, built to last and covered by a 1 year worldwide warranty. The design is as pleasing on the outside as it is functionally excellent on the inside. RS Biotech is committed to total customer satisfaction wherever our clients are based. In every country we supply, trained technicians are on hand to provide support and ongoing advice. Not that you would necessarily need it as our manuals are clear, helpful and user friendly. The Galaxy R model even has a unique on-screen help file shown on the display panel of the Incubator, so you can get an answer to your query immediately. Products:

The new Micro Galaxy CO2 incubator is designed for, but not limited to, use in In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) techniques. IVF procedures demand accurate temperature and CO2 levels, quick and convenient incubator access within a work station and fast recovery after the door is opened. The Micro Galaxy is a unique new product which satisfies all these requirements. Occupying only 31 x 28cm of bench space, the Micro Galaxy has been designed to enable it to be used within IVF work stations and laminar flow cabinets. As with all Galaxy incubators, the advanced design of the Micro Galaxy eliminates the requirement for a chamber fan. Air flow onto a fan makes it and the area around it a potential site for the build up of contamination which is then spread around by the comparatively brisk air movement. The gentle air movement in the Micro Galaxy is by convection only, reducing the risk of spreading any contamination. A fan and air ducting can be both difficult to remove and clean effectively, the Micro Galaxy solves this problem. The need for HEPA filtration within the chamber is eliminated as well as vibrations which may adversely affect certain cell lines. The removable stainless steel humidity tray creates high and uniform relative humidity, which together with the gentle air movement, reduces sample desiccation to a minimum. The unique six-sided heating system ensures that chamber walls remain completely dry reducing still further any risk of contamination

Unlike most CO2 incubators which have two doors, Mini Galaxy has one heated, double glazed door with an integral viewing window. The unique single door system with integral viewing window allows observation without disturbance to cultures. This new system gives easier access to the chamber while at the same time allowing cell lines to be inspected without the need to disturb the chamber environment. Thus, temperature, CO2 and humidity levels can be maintained without risk of fluctuations. Two models are available, the more sophisticated Mini A and the entry level Mini E. Both models boast a generous, space-efficient 50 litre capacity. The inner chamber is produced from deep drawn stainless steel. It has no welded seams where contamination can develop and is therefore extremely simple to clean effectively. Each model features RS Biotech's new shelving/racking system which can be completely removed, to leave only smooth surfaces - no shelf runners. Forced fan circulation presents a further potential source of contamination and cell line disruption, Mini Galaxy incubators do not have a chamber fan. Instead they utilize an innovative six-sided direct electrical heating system to create highly stable and homogeneous temperature, CO2 and humidity levels whilst maintaining dry walls and door. Air movement in the chamber is by convection only. Occupying only 48mm x 47mm of bench space, the small footprint allows these incubators to be truly 'personal' Galaxy Mini CO2 Incubators 1.91MB |
